NEW signing Gerard McSorley scored on his league debut for Rock Celtic as they recorded a 4-0 win over Bellurgan at Flynn Park on Sunday.
In what was a comfortable victory the visitors set the tone early when Kevin McArdle was denied by an upright and David Ward fired another good chance wide.
However, they broke the dealock when Jamie McCaul directed a McSorley cross into the path of Paddy Quinn, who gave Robbie Arthur no chance.
The seasiders made it 2-0 early in the second half when Ward sent McSorley clear for his debut goal.
Shane Finnegan went close for Bellurgan, but the game was over as a contest soon afterwards when the impressive Quinn netted his second of the game.
In truth Rock could have made life even tougher for their hosts but for some superb goalkeeping from Arthur, but he could do nothing about a late strike from substitute Derek Delany.
