DUNDALK U-14 PREMIER
MUIRHEVNAMOR 3 ROCK CELTIC 8
ROCK Celtic kept their 100% record with a comfortable win over Muirhevnamor. Rock played the first half against a very strong wind and were caught napping when they conceded a goal in the first minute. However, after that setback the Rock started to move the ball around well and created a few chances. They made the breakthrough when Chris Stapleton raced on to a through ball to finish it to the back of the net. This was followed up with another goal from Gerard Rice when he cut in from the wing to let fly to the back of the net.
Rock were putting a lot of pressure on the home side which resulted in one of their defenders turning the ball into his own net from a cross from the right wing by Ciaran Fee.
However, Rock fell asleep again and conceded two bad goals to leave the the sides level at the break – 3-3.
Rock went on to create a bagful of chances after the restart and they scored five goals through Ben Mooney, Liam O’Callaghan, Ciaran Fee and two great strikes from substitute Aidan Curtin.
